Need to vacate my house for a few days while hardwood floors are repaired and refinished. Planning on heading North on Hwy 1 into Oregon. Any recommendations on what to see, where to stay or not stay?

I took Pacific Hwy 1 from San Francisco to Peebles Beach. Come to Carey, NC for MBCA Star Tech in April.
They say the scenery is a lot better going north. My wife and I like this restaurant somewhere down south.
