The risk you run with any chromed wheels from an unknown source is that you don't know if the chroming is done right. Bad chroming will start to peel quickly (within a year). Good chroming will last many years. Chroming usually adds about $100-150/wheel. Just like painting, a good chrome job is not about coverage and how it looks when brand new...it's about preparation of the surface in a multi-step process...any step skipped or done wrong and you've wasted your money. Rechroming to repair chromed rims is far more expensive then chroming an unchromed one.
