Right rear passenger door does not unlock

Hi,

My car is only 2 1/2 weeks old with 340 miles on the clock, but yesterday the right hand rear passenger door suddenly decided that it does not want to unlock anymore.

You can still open it from the inside, but not from the outside. The unlock button does move slightly when you try to unlock it, but does not go all the way up.

Has anyone had the same problem with the sedan (obviously as the coupe does not have rear doors [

])? Looks like it will have to go back to the dealer.

This problem aside, I am very happy with the car. Just hope that this is not the first in a long line of problems with it. [

The same happened to my right passenger door (randomly). The dealer replaced the door cont...

The same happened to my right passenger door (randomly). The dealer replaced the door control module. Works fine now.

Thanks Dick,

Took it in to the dealer today. They said that it was the first time they encountered this problem on a W203. Lucky me...

They said that they have to replace the lock unit, but it will take 2 days to get it in stock. They had no idea why it broke. The door probably has not been opened more than 8 times!
I'm not a very happy chappy at the moment, but I suppose these things happen.

Maybe the first time they saw it, but my car is a C240 and I had the same problem as you...
