I own a mercedes benz C200 1996 model, milage is around 115000km and sounds good when driving it. However a month ago after i had decided to sell it, the reverse gear began to slip. Later on i noticed that this happens only when the engine has reached its optimum temperature. Also when it was last serviced i noticed that the mechanic used some ATF manufactured in South Africa. All the forward gears appear to be functioning well, only the reverse gear seems to be the culprit. I kindly request someone in the network to give some advice so that i can be able to diagonise the problem. My challenge is that here in Zimbabwe there are no experts in Automatic transmission, everyone that i have consulted so far says i should get a new gear box. HELP PLEASE

You do have a problem. You must change the fluid for MB fluid. First off pull the transmission dip stick and look at the colour of the fluid, then smell it and let me know what it looks and smells like.
