That is a video I have watched countless times. Hate me if you want :wink, but I love what they did with that SEC. Before I sold my own 560SEC (because I am moving to China) I had thought about doing something like you see in that video down the road. I would never do it with a low low miles example, but something over 100k, yeah, why not make is your own?

Question is, who in the U.S. could pull something like that off? I actually talked to three local and semi-local places here in Eastern North Carolina and they all admitted they had never touched an older Benz. Some Beamers, but they were mostly American car guys.

One can only imagine how insanely expensive a job like this would be, but the luxurious feel would be killer. Only doable on a car one intends to truly KEEP. When I return from China I am seriously going to consider this. Once I find another SEC, that is.

If you watch the Velocity channel, you would come up with at least 4 - 5 outfits that would do something like that - you are right though. Big $$$$.

I'm sure Automat Interiors in Hicksville (Long Island), NY could do that for you. I picked up a set of recaros there and saw lots of custom stuff like that.

Clearly...which is why I no longer watch it. Aaron was the big draw for me on that show as he's a true wizard. When he left, the jig was up.

As to an interior like you show, there's a guy in Augusta who can and will do it. He's not cheap, but he's not on TV either, so not as expensive as some.

Augusta's not right down the street from NC, but not impossibly far, either.

I don't know if I would ever take that risk.

I can tell you that what is popular over there are seat covers. No one goes without them. Dash covers everywhere and full on seat and floor coverings in nearly every car on the road.
