I have a 2008 CLS 550 and the service indicator for schedule "D" came on, went to dealership and they said they do not preform schedule "D" only "A" & "B". so I asked if they could clear the code. Sure for $84.00, I am sorry but that is an absolute rip in my opinion, every time I go to the dealer They charge to plug it in to there code reader.
Does anyone know or can reccomend a code reader that reads and resets the codes?
Thanks

Search this forum, you can reset it yourself just by pushing a few buttons. If you have no luck finding the procedure, Let me know or you can contact "Konegstiger" on this forum. He's "the Man". Mercedes dealers lease their diagnostic systems direct from Mercedes at a cost of about $8000.00 per month and each dealer has to lease one machine for every three servicemen. That is why they charge so damn much.

According to the WIS for W219, you can reset the service indicator yourself at the cluster. See below.

Note: the procedure looks identical to my W209 CLK. To make this work, I must first insert the ignition key. then tab the display to show temp or mileage, and then withdraw the key. Then I start the procedure as shown below and it works every time.
