Can anyone out there tell me of a way to reset the service B warning that I have gone passed my service interval? I don't know if it needs a plug in, or if it can be done by turning the ignition and pressing and holding of buttons technique? Can someone out there answer this? The car is a 2002 240E before the face lift model.

Many thanks from a home mechanic thats good with engines but sadly lacking in the IT department!

Thanks,advice greatfully recieved-service reset done!

Hi there, I just contacted prev owner he is sending me a manual! I have done what you say and it is reset, that is great! As DIY mechanic I am doing all my own servicing, but what does service A and B entail. I have just changed engine oil replaced oil filter, air filter, autotransmission oil, new brake pads front and replaced brake fluid, drained coolant and replaced with fresh anti oxidant antifreeze, I have replaced the plugs(HT leads were ok). So basically I have gone overboard with the service. So I should have covered everything. Is there anything I have missed? as I am new to these engines only having owned the car 6month. Thanks for any advice offered, and once again, many thanks for the advice already given.
