Had my car aligned recently and the mechanic said he could not adjust the dr side anymore due to what he suspected was a slight fender bender that bent the frame slightly. So my steering wheel is canted to the left a tad which I find annoying.

I read through the removal procedures here and elsewhere. Then it occurred to me that maybe the wheel cannot just be rotated to the right like a non-airbag Momo steering wheel. I see the gear-like grooves on the sprocket. Does anyone know if I remove the wheel, can it be repositioned about 1/4" an inch to the right?

Sure; when you pull it off the splines, you just rotate to where you want it and put it back on.
