Bob, i hope that this works this time - I just replied to your message but Benz World did not send it?? No address?? I would suggest that you raise the seat off the floor ( up on blocks??) to allow you to get to the connectors under the seat. The sensor connectors are shaped to fit the mating connectors on the floor frame but are unique to release and attach. I think the the printed circuit sensor, which is the size of the seat bottom can be rolled up to fit under the seat as long as you are careful to protect it as the seat is moved. I may have used your idea if I had thought of it, since, I don't have any kids sitting in the front passenger seat. The cables on the sensor are long enough to do what you are attempting, so that is not a concern . By the way, I paid $136 for my seat sensor from my local Mercedes dealer. Good luck, Donald
