Replacing with A/M sunvisors

Ok, I finally broke my driver's side sunvisor's plastic male retaining tab. I was considering gluing tab, but then decided to replace both sunvisors. My sun visors are deteriorated on the inside. They are puffy and not full and stiff boards.

I just ordered replica sunvisors from Performance Products 4Benz. They come with the plastic tab, but requires the metal arm from original. This is fine, I need to tighten the rods anyway. They are quite loose at the ball and socket. I understand there is a screw under the cover plate that runs across the top of windshield that will tighten the ball.

Has any one done this job, and is it difficult? It doesn't seem to be. The hardest thing to do, as I read, is to remove and re-install the rear view mirror.

Just received my new sunvisors today. I already got a head start by removing my rear view mirror over the weekend. It actually came off a lot easier than I thought they would. I also fix that mirror while it was off. The mirror was loose due to the fact that the hi-beam lever on underside of mirror came off its rocker point internally. Just used a flat screwdriver and forced her back on the lever.

Now to put on the new visors and adjust the screw that tightens the ball in the socket and I'll be set. But, it may need to wait until this weekend. I've got to go to Texas this week. I'll keep you guys informed on how it goes.
Well, I got a chance to replace my sunvisors last night. Not to bad of a DIY job. The hardest part of the deal was to re-install the old swing arm into the new sunvisor. But it was well work it. They look great and half the cost of OE!
