Replacing the air filter! how to?

Having purchased a new air-filter on ebay, I went about my way to replace it,

Ucliped the 4 clips, undid the one srew I could find, but could not budge the plastic cover more than a few mm's up! :surrender:

Is their something I am missing? , or am I being very untechnically minded?

I struggled a bit, found all the clips and it was eventually easy. This might help:
