Replacing the air filter! how to?

Having purchased a new air-filter on ebay, I went about my way to replace it,

Ucliped the 4 clips, undid the one srew I could find, but could not budge the plastic cover more than a few mm's up! :surrender:

Is their something I am missing? , or am I being very untechnically minded?

Its easier if you take the intake pipe off first (the big one across the top of rocker cover) remove the jubilee clip either end and the two bolts that hold it to the rocker cover, also theres a breather pipe that fits into the back of the intake pipe about half way along
