I have just downloaded great instructions for removing my old tape deck from my W124 300E 1986. Can i just put my new cd player in or will I have to rewire all the speakers?

You would be best served going to Crutchfield and getting one of their harness's. The sound system wiring on our cars is trickey due to the fader knob. Then again, you could just re-wire all the speakers etc. or use a pro shop to do the install.

Thanks Jayare, from reading other comments on this topic it sounds like there is a common earth for each side(spilled coffee on fader switch discussion) which means I will have to rewire each speaker. How do I fill out my profile?

At the top upper right side of this page, you will find "Control Panel" to click. Do so and you will be into the area where you can fill out your profile/edit etc.
