Hello!

hope everyone is doing ok with the current virus situation.

If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it. I have 1997 R129 and am looking at replacing the seat control surround on the door card.

I have the replacement parts but after taking the door card off....it looks compicated to remote the door surround. Do you need to remove the airbag?!

pics attached. Look to be plastic welded.

Heat it up a little with a hair dryer or heat gun, then pry it off with a wood chisel or putty knife. I used epoxy to reattach my door panel parts, but high-temp hot glue may work.

sure will give it a go. Did you replace the seat switch surround as well?

Nope, but I had to re-glue damn near everything on the panel. I am airbrushing the interior panels with color-matched leather dye. It’s looking pretty good so far.
