Replacing Rear Seat Belt Part Number

Hi all,

I'm currently in the process of working on my mother's 2009 B200 as the centre seat belt buckle is broken (no idea how that happened).

Unfortunately, as shown in the reference images below, the housing of the buckle isn't there so I'm not sure exactly what I need to buy.

I've found other part numbers for the other rear buckles, however I'm not sure if these are interchangeable or if I specifically need to buy and replace the middle seat belt buckle.

Reference images as as follows (apologies for the mess):
1. Overall view of the issue:
2. Part number of rear left seat belt buckle:
3. Part number of rear right seat belt buckle:

Does anyone know what part number the middle buckle is or have any advice as to what I should buy?

Additionally for the installation, should I disconnect the car battery before removing the buckle and its connection? Sorry if the answer to that is an obvious yes, I'm totally new to this.

Just find a scrap yard that lets you pick the part yourself. It will be like new and cost you no money. These cars are now in most scrap yards...or find a yard that will remove it for you.

Do not disconnect the battery. Unplug any wire at the belt..It's possible that the seat was slammed down and the plastic broke..

Cheers Devours! Appreciate the advice. I have purchased the part cheap from a local scrap yard :)

Now comes the installation. Just wondering (as I've searched it up on the Mercedes WIS software and unfortunately it doesn't provide screw driver/bolt/torx information), but do you know what torx piece I need to unscrew the buckle from the seat backing and what I should use to hold the rear bolt in place when re-fastening the piece? See image below for reference.

Again, thank you for the advice.

I've never had it apart but here is what my B looks like from the left side door looking in at my belt buckle.

Here are a few views...Have the car off ..no key in ignition. You might have to lift a safety tab on that yellow plug before it comes apart. (I'm not sure as I've never touched them)

Torx ..T-50 will fit that large screw. This set of Torx costs no money here in Canada ($9.99 to $19.99 CDN depending on the sale at that moment) and is offered at our Canada wide "Canadian Tire"..because buying each separate socket when needed will be very costly.

Your large auto stores..or Walmarts..etc..should also have great deals from time to time..

Remember that the spring has an exact fit and it might take a bit of fiddling to place it right. Be careful as there might be some spring back and it could jump off as you remove it.

I hope that your car looks very similar to my views on my B.
