I wanted to know if some knew or had experience replacing a front axle assembly to a G500. The only part I can find is an axle assembly from a 2006 G55. Does anyone know if it will fit into a 2005 G500? Your help is greatly appreciate. Thanks!

Why do you want or need to replace the entire axle assembly. Is it bent?

It should physically fit. Have you checked the axle ratios? They are stamped onto a plate that is riveted near the center of the axle. Also you need to verify that the ABS rings have the same number of teeth (most likely yes). You will have to swap the brakes. Your G500 wheels won't fit over the G55 brakes.

Axles did not match

I got all excited that I got a used G55 Front Axle but it turns out that the Raitos are different. The G500 has a ratio of 4.375 and the G55 has a ratio of 4.11. Back to the drawing board...
