Hi All,
My fog light is cracked (the outside plastic lens), so I was looking at how to replace it.

Anyone done this before want to give some hints?

I see there is a little door in front of the tire to access the assembly, perhaps intended to change the bulb, but its hard to reach in there.

Do you have to take the tire off, or the plastic skirt on the outside of the car? Or just lift the car up and access the assembly from underneath?

Thanks,
Pat

i did it according to linh's instruction.. sorry i didnt get to take pics while i was taking the thing apart, there wasn't a camera handy at the time.

i took my fog lights out through the hole on the wheelwell when i first replaced the bulbs there were only 3 or 4 screw holding the bracket. you just have stick your hand in there and feel where they are. that is if you have a sport. dunno how to on non-sport.. might be totally different.

I also cracked the lens recently. I bought a new lens, but took it to my workshop to replace, as its a PITA to fix. Apparently there are 3 screws that need to be undone, and one is quite hard to access, and of course they are rusted cause they get covered in crap from the streets. It took my mechanic 30 minutes to do the job, but i figured it would take me ages to do it myself, lying on snow, trying to work upside down, not having the right tools.... no thanks.

i added a couple of steps from linh's instruction.

1) Remove the top 2 screws by the center grille.
2) Remove the 4 screws on the "engine plash gaurd" (big black plastic that cover the bottom of the engine)
3) Look under and inside the front bumper between the 2 lower grill, you should see a screw on each side, remove it.
4) Remove the fender well plastic cover enough for you to see the "hex bit" screw holding the side bumper to the fender well.
***Remove one screw on each side at the very bottom of the bumber near the wheels.
5) Remove the hex bit screw.
***Remove headlight assy... look for one screw on each side holding the bumper and the fender together(loosen that screw)
6) Disconnect the bumper side light and foglight on the passenger side.
7) Disconnect the bumper side light, foglight and ambient temp sensor on the driver bumper.
8) The bumper is now ready for you to pull or push straight out toward the front of the car.
