Hi,

My 300D is in need of new flex disks and the transmission shop is asking $180 for parts and $160 for labor. How difficult is replacing the disks myself? I have ramps/stands and a warm coat and gloves (it was 5 degrees here this morning!).

This is my first question for this forum and give thanks in advance for any advice!

$52.95 with free shipping for a flex disk kit from autohausaz.com. So you would need two of these kits (front & back)
I've never done it myself though....

Done it about 6 times so far. It's not difficult. It may help to take a pic of the orientation before you remove the bolts. You will probably want to do the center carrier bearing and transmission mount while you're there. They have to be removed anyways. Before you separate the two halves of the driveshaft, mark the splines so you can line them up correctly when you reassemble.
