Going to attempt to remove the old alternator and fit the new one, just wondering if anyone has a guide on fitting or any pointers i should know?

There's a couple of bolts to take it out. One of them is a "tensioner", so when you loosen that you will be able to take it off the belt. Also be careful with the wires from the battery, take them off before taking out the alternator itself....and disconnect the battery beforehand.

check that the tensioner bolt(one with the gear) is in good shape that the gear is not stripped,
mine was, so had a new one on hand B4 i started.
Also both my bolts were severely siezed, so pre spray with wd40 or pb blaster or something like that.
I had to use a 3 foot extension over my ratchet handle, thats how badly siezed it was , took 2 hours to get the bolt out mm by mm.
Broke 3 cheap ratchets as well.
Since then i purchased a good set of Crafstman tools, and a couple of better then cheap extra ratchet handles.
BTY it was not the origional altinator, my dad had changed it once as well.

Last note, i did the job twice because the first rebuild i purchased was not putting out proper amps.
SO BUY THE BOSCH Factory Rebuild>>>>>>:thumbsup:
