I need to replace my instrument cluster but can't find one for an 1982 300SD Turbo Diesel. Does anyone know if the 81 or 83 year would work on the 82?

Also, is there anything else I should know before swapping instrument cluster?

If the connections are the same it should work - just plug it in. For some reason the MB CD's dont include schematics for 82 SD so I cant tell what is the same. Remember to disconnect the battery first.

Thanks liammarsh! I know, I learnt my lesson (sigh). Is it possible to adjust the km's on the new speedometer to my old one?
