If you are ordering from the dealer, I recommend just giving them the VIN number. There is a good chance that the part number has changed anyway, so the original may be good for a reference to the new number, but they can get to it just as quick with a VIN.

But to answer your original question sorry, I do not know.

Thanks. Yes, the dealer numbers have changed. But I am looking to get one online and which current number to use is a mystery!

Hi MB-202.
The tag on the right side has your harness number on it.
It also say's >> E<< Erde {groundwire} a brown wire.
It might be 202 540 7905 it also has the date of manufacter on it.
Good luck.

Thank you very much. It's always been a mystery where the original tag was. Didn't want to disturb the crumbling wires if I didn't have to. I will check it out now.

Wiring harness help, 1994, w202, c220,

Hi, I would like to ask some help for my wiring harness repairing.
When I disassembled my wiring harness, I didn't want to disassemble intake manifold, so I cut cables which go to Throttle Body Actuator.(And I thought I can see the colors of insulation,... but the insulation disappeared)
Could someone help me which cables where to go, or cable colors, or wiring harness diagram?

Thanks.

Engine Wiring Harness (2025403832)

Maybe If I could find somebody who has a used Engine Wiring Harness (2025403832), then he can measure which connector where to go, with a multimeter.
I try to find a scrapyard in my country where it have this car, or this part (2025403832) but until now I can't found it.
My Engine Wiring Harness rewiring is almost finished, only missing cables which go to Throttle Body Actuator.
I don't want to pay $930 for a new part, because the car value is app.$2000 :)

Solve problem...new problem

Hi, I would like to ask a little help. I have disassembled my car's Wiring Harness for half year ago, and I rewired that, and I want to assembly into the car, but I forgot where are two cables locations.
Do you have a wiring diagram, or exactly information where I should connected those?
I think my Wiring Harness item number is 2025403832.
These cables from X26/25 (I think), A1, and D1 pins.
Thank you for helping.
Br,
Perez

Bottom line here is that Mercedes never did a recall, and the number of cars affected is unbelievable - years 91-97 all models. Cars stalling on the freeway, fires...what happened to safety???
Just for clarification, I've just bought two W202s, first one a 1996 1.8 Elegance saloon, 2nd a 1999 C230Sport Kompressor estate, from above quote it appears 1999 isn't going to have the wiring loom issue, but how can I tell by checking part numbers on loom of 1996 car if it might be a problem waiting in the side wings?

Yes, I use STRICTLY Automotive grade wiring,(resistant to oil/gas/high temparatures) - and a warranty would be no problem, i offer a lifetime warranty on all of my work...Thats why i wont use those crimp connectors- they can and WILL go bad. I exclusively SOLDER everything. If anyone needs this service, just remove your harness from the engine compartment and PM me for an address....
What is your email? I need to send you mine.
