I'm going to paint my SEC into a non-standart colour. I've seen someone has painted his SEC into midnight blue or some kind of gold/silver metallic etc. well... I'm thinking about this:

This is also not bad:

I would also like to hear your opinion. I'm bored with black and silver...

Also. Here's my friend's car: http://s2.images.drive2.ru/car.photos/x1/4400/000/000/338/374/88ce5abce77a32d9-large.jpg

It's too bright IMHO :) Looks like Mustang 2010+

What color is the interior? The outside color should be a match or complementary.

FYI, when I painted my SEC, it was done to Chrysler Bright Silver (PS2) rather than to Mercedes Bright Silver (744) because I can go to my local auto parts store here in the U.S. and buy a rattle can of paint for touch-up. I can't find any 744 Silver in a spray can. Custom colors are nice but a standard color for which you can get touchup paint is a consideration.

Oh Ive heard the 88 mitsubishi galant interior swap ads 30hp ....

Your friends car looks nice

Candy metallic red with burgundy interior could look pretty cool
You would totally have to go gold plating on all the trim and fully chrome face wheels to pull it off properly

I would let that deter anyone. Every bodyshop can mix you any touchup paint in 10 minutes.

Your friend's sec looks unusual for an sec, or a mercedes for that matter, but looks pretty sweet! That color looks very European car color, if that makes any sense.

You should make a poll, easier to gauge the opinions.

I've been painting almost all of my cars a new custom color over the last year and a half, so I have been thinking and over thinking this topic. Here are my suggestions (I'm into the earthy tones, if you can't tell).

My latest and still favourite color at the moment. Buick Cocoa Metallic (shown on my recently painted BMW)

I've always loved Cadillac's Diamond White

Audi (dont know the name, but its gorgeous.

VW's yellow-ish gold

Is this really your friend's car? Reason I ask is I remember a non-active member of this forum having a car that looks just like that. Did your friend buy and import the car out of California?

Actually, here is the build thread of that car..

Nah, that car is from Russia. My friend has sent me a few photos, but now I can see, that half of them are "borrowed" from your showed topic :) Identical.

Now about the colours. I really liked Buick Cocoa Metallic (btw nice car) and especially that caramell Audi... Omg... I guess this colour fits even better for german muscles.

Stunning colour!!! (UK widebody) looks like silver with a touch of blue in it. (unless the pic has been touched up with photoshop- but that colour variant still looks bloody good.
Looks similar to the 2012 Ford Shelby GT500 "Kona Blue Metallic" http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2012/ford/shelby_gt500/photos/colors.html

And a "gun metal grey" coloured widebody looks real nice as well

My current Golf mk3 TDI has that kind of silver-blue all day long and in a sunset turns golden. Very beautiful.

Depending on the original colour of the car and the interior colour, the Cobra scheme is really nice.

That UK widebody's paint code is #122 Mother of Pearl gray or "pearl gray metallic" -- "Perlmuttgrau" German. For some reason, they come out looking bluish in pictures and often mistaken for Diamond Blue metallic.

+1 on code 122. It is a stunning colour, specially combined with black leather.

For an SEC most hot pearl colours would look nice.

Examples can be:

White with light turquiose/blue pearl - has people guessing
Black Pearl with a tinge of orange - sunset/sunrise look
Purple with most pearls and pearlasent tints.
