Hi All

Have anyone tried a MAACO "Signature" paint job?, I had a minor fender bender today, plus the normal road dings over the past years, also this is now my commuter car so I did not want to invest too much, however I am planning on keeping it for a few more years. any comments/suggestions welcome.

Ive never really heard of that company, but it sound like one of those "mass quantity" body shops that dont really specialize in any car but to move cars quickly and will charge you whatever price comes out on the screen.........

When I got my car passed down from my dad, it had a couple door dings, as well as some unpleasent scratches here and there......to put the icing on the cake, he took out one day (after the car was mine) and got into a fender bender, so he agreed to pay for repairs, once we were at it, we decided to give the whole car a once over...and come out fresh and clean.......

The repairs were minor, I ended up in a real good bodyshop in miami, Miami Chasis and Customs...... the entire bill came out to $3,800 (originally 4,200) but while my car was there I drove in a couple of friends to get some custom stuff installed..... so I got a lil discount....

All I can say is that I think the car came out better than new, the guys completely took the car apart, all lights, grill, bumpers, moldings, antenna housing, emblems, EVERYTHING...... and the outcome was amazing....

Im just saying to be very careful when respraying your whole car, because once its done, there is no going back and this could REALLY add to the car as well as REALLY make it loose its value.

noo.. not MAACO, if you want to go there you might as well use a hand brush or a roller brush to paint your car and you could get better result than them..

I heard some good stories about MAACO but 99.9% is a bad story. MAACO is OK for repaint on 10 year old Ford Escort but not for Mercedes.

Don't cheap out - they'll ruin your car. Find a good bodyshop in your area and surrender your valet.

Yeph, agree. I think you should only go to MAACO if you don't have time to DIY with roller and paint from Home Depot.

No roller, now you can buy you one of those portable sprayers. That way you can match the car to your house.

Seeing as how MAACO is not on our list of preferred vendors, I most definitely will not use their services.

Thanks one and all for saving both me and my car from a potential disappointment.
