Hi, my mechanic tells me that it is a good idea to remove the small gasoline filter in the injection system (on older W124's), because it only gives problems (engine runs badly over time). His argument is that the gasolin filter at the tank is more than enough to keep filtering the gasolin, and this extra filter is only given bad gasolin flow to the engine. Well ... my opinion is that MB engineers must had a reason to put it there ... on the other hand, I think nobody (outside the official MB workshops) even know it is there, and never clean or replace it with a new. What is Your opinion ? ... have anyone heard this argument before ?
A nice day to all of you
