Is there any trick to removing the timing chain cover without removing the heads? I've removed the oil pan and all other items. I believe it's just a pry and work around situation but if anyone has any experience or advice it's welcomed and thanks in advance.

I haven't run into this situation yet, so I honestly don't know. But I would definitely take JC220's thread into consideration if you need to pull the timing cover.

Can you give us some detail of the actual problem you're running into?
