When I opened the hood of my 560, I noticed a small rust spot -- size of a quarter on the left side of the front brace/frame that is directly in front of the radiator. I scraped and poked...and it appears to to be only very slight surface rust -- nothing crumbling -- everything is solid as could be. I know that any rust is a concern, but is this a really big concern for me that needs immediate attention? And, what is the best way to fix it -- sand the area down, and repaint? What do you think a body shop would charge to fix such a small area like that? thx in advance!

Sand, prime, paint.
Get an auto supply shop or paint shop to mix you an aerosol can to match the MB paint code. Should be a good match because there won't be any fading under the hood.
I reckon a body shop might charge yo a couple hundred for their trouble.
Sounds like good DIY job to me. After all, who's going to notice the results if they are less than perfect?
