Experiencing high torque on flare nuts, so much so, even with flare nut wrenches, fear rounding nut shoulders or even worse snapping off an injector.
Anyone encountered this level of torque in removing these early MFI?

Are you using a wrench that looks like one of these?

Thanks Scoot, just a flexible head flare nut wrench. What is the specific name of the wrench in your photo?, appears to be exactly the wrench I need to get the torque needed without creating a disaster.

Thanks again Scoot, have a set ordered and on the road, injection fuel line wrenches, Mercedes specifically referenced. Hopefully these will give me the courage to continue.
Glad you found it. Hazet makes the wrench and other makers as well. As long as you get the right size in mm I think you should be good to go. You will probably feel a lot more confident using the wrench as it seems quite secure to me.
