My horn and turn signals have quit working and we are thinking that the ground on the horn ring maybe be broken. Do I access this by removing the the horn cover . I can get the sides loose but i am afraid to pull the center loose. Any suggestions. This is on a 82 300CD. PS the fuse and the flasher have been changed and all of the other lights work fine. Neither turn signal works

Read the same problem recently on this forum but i can't find it now.
The solution posted on that one was that there is an earth on the steering columb that should be checked.
I assume it worked because the person who posted it never came back to say it didn't.

If I remember correctly there may be some kind of clip were I used a small screwdriver to undo. Your best bet would be to ask your local dealer or phone a main Mercedes Technical Centre (your local dealer should give you the number, if they can't help you).
Sorry I couldn't be of more help but it was a long time ago.[8)]

The number for the UK is 01908 245000, very helpful lot.[:)]
