I dunno if they make one for the V12 but a performance chip should do the trick.

nothing wrong, its a market customization, most german cars in the US for example are limited to 155 MPH = 248Kmh

fast enough to get anyone killed, even highly skilled drivers... the overnor is there for a reason...

Mine is set to 130MPH. I dont know why they would be set higher then this since Benz chose 100H as stock tires, which are rated for a maximum speed of 130MPH. Them going above 130 would mean they would have to use a higher rating tires (as stock). The governor should be set to the tires speed rating or lower.

Had my de-limited 600SEL up to 165mph+ and it still wanted to go more !This was not on a public road and I have AMG's on with 186mph rated tyres.It was plenty fast enough for me and you can still hear the stereo !

WOW, I'm impressed! 165 is extremely fast. I've been with a friend who took me around at 150MPH+ in his Porsche 944 Turbo and that was too fast.... I can't even imagine 165!

If you want to do yours.. look in my gallery, i did mine,and it only took a couple of hours. I would not try it though unless you change the tyres up to the speed rate that will let you do it. A blowout at that speed can be..devestating..!!

Personally, I just purchase a couple of performance chips from ebay for my S600 Coupe. I really dont know if this is a good move or not but I will try.... If somebody has any experiance regarding these performance chips, just let us know.....

I've gotten mine up to 126 but the tires are stock so I can;t go much faster. Let me know if you come up w. a solution, I would like it to go faster. Been 180 in a friend's Twin Turbo 350Z (capable of speeds 200+) w/ about 700whp.

I think I saw a YouTube video were one owner had the limiter removed and clocked it at 304km/h,stock speed is limited at 255km/h for S500 & S600 .

I can look into removing speed limit on W140/R129 if there's enough interest...
