Great! I have also thought about doing the same one day, and certainly would not want the glue on kit treatment. But what about the other carbon fiber accents near the door handles? I assume you would want to change it all.

You have to take the door panels off to remove the door trim behind the handle. The dash trim has 2 screws hidden by the radio. Once you slide the radio you will see them. Just unplug all of the cables and swap all of the buttons on to the new trim piece. Take the shift knob off and pull up the ring around the shift plate. Then you pull up the console trim and take out the window switches and put them in the new trim piece. It takes a couple of hours to change the dash parts out.

Thanks for the replys. I actually want to replace all the carbon fiber parts, and even some of the other parts, such as the door handles. Ultimately, I'll replace the steering wheel as well, probably when I get the interior redone in tan.

i think i'm going to re-do the carbon fiber with the burl wood. It should look good with the grey I have now.
BTW, who in the New Jersey area would redo my interior for me? I think my black exterior would look great with a tan interior.

Thanks to all.....
