Hi all,

Have a 1995 C220 gasoline - W202 with 111 series engine.

Been having issues with all instrument needles only failing to work periodically.
Just the speed, fuel, temp, revs, oil work sometimes. All diagnostic lights perform as normal at startup and go out as normal.

My mechania is BMW and MB trained and using the correct diagnosis laptop and software has determined the error code B1748 and is most likely a relay.
However, the relay has no identifiable part numbers on it.
Located on left side of engine bay under a plastic cover adjacent to the diagnostic plug-in socket.

Hope somone can assist with appropriate part number please.

see attached Pics.

I cant be sure from the pix cuz my monitor is acting up but it looks like the OVP (Over voltage protection) relay with the fuse on the top that I had in my W124.

it is FRIGHTENING that a mechanic who is supposedly MB trained does not know what this part is or how to get the part #
On the W124 this was a common fail part that wreaks havoc with everything from electrical to mechanical issues when it started to fail.
