To start things off, I wanted to see how I'd go about running wires for the amp and subwoofer, and managed to get those flexable plastic piece inside the trunk that the carpet is held to using grommets. But for the life of me I cant get that %^&# piece back in. The driver side piece went in without a hitch, was wondering if there's a special method when it comes to reassembling that blasted plastic piece

Second question, since my power antenna stopped functioning, I'd like to replace it with something else. I came across Stubby Antenna
and was wondering which one(s) would fit, and/or is there a tutorial to do what SHANE O did here http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w201-190-class/1393288-new-headunit-pics.html

you can try a stubby, but depending on your area you may not get any radio stations. FCC fm frequencies are in waves, hence why most car antennas are 24"-32" the stubby that shane-o used was for his GPS head unit probably running satellite radio

your power antenna may not be that broken, you can take it apart if you have skills enough to build some legos, most likely your antenna shaft itself just needs some lubrication (insert joke here) a good clear grease applied after cleaning works wonders. you have may to re grease your inner plastic cabling as well.

Thanks for clearing that up! The white plastic rod with teeth snapped off where it connects to the black plastic section of the antenna, so a new mast is required, then thought perhaps there's some better looking alternatives

look around on the forums for parts cars or your local junkyards, grab a few non-working ones...as i mentioned if you can build legos you can fix a antenna mast, just takes a bit of patience

i took 3 broken antennas and made a good one thats still working

I'm pretty sure I saw replacement masts on ebay. Mine is broken off too. A straightened and filed hanger is doing the trick for now but once twelve otherthings are fixxed i'll get a new mast and rebuild mine.
u need to make sure you have the right one. there are 2 types. one is the older style which is longer and the later one is shorter and more slanted. they run like 10-15 at the yards.

the stubbys are great if you use them for what they are made for...if you want a regular radio to work with FM stations, you have to stick with something along a regular antenna design.
