Ok I have a 300e 4matic. And as of right now i have two options put money into her or buy a newer car. MY question is (nothing is seriously wronge with her) Shoudl i have some one redo the tranny and rebuild the motor wiring, pumps and all bearings shocks struts etc.. basically refurbinmg the runnign gear to liek new or as close to the day she came off the showroom floor as humanlly possible....
(i woudl expect another 2-3 hundred thousand miles) vs 30-40k not doing anythign to it.
or drive till she dies than buy a new car.

Oh and i wouldn;t be doign it all at once little by little until its all done. Like over the course of the next 6 monthes or some thing.

any help woudl be appreciated alot...

The tranny refurb alone will run you 1500. Rebuild the motor? Refurb the running gear? All of this is possible but prohibitively expensive. If nothing is "seriously wrong" why are you considering any of this?

how many miles are on the car now? Does it have rust? How is the interior? Any body damage?

its got 188,000. The transfer case works. The only body damage is cracks to the fornt and rear bumpers. Motors runs just the tranny shifts a little hard. The inside is in good condition. The car is in good shape. Also being 18 I kinda want somethign faster. I mean this car cruises but i want somethign fast not cruiser.

This doesn't sound like a long term car for you to me from your description. If you want to stay in the benz family there are several options, such as a 400E which would be MUCH quicker or a lighter weight 190 [IF you get the right optioned one].

I like benz my mom has been buyign them since the beginign of time, but in like the 10-15000 dollar range whats a good merc thats not so much luxury thats got a stiff ride an di coudl take a turn at 60 mph...

also in august i'm gonna get rid of mine befor ei go away to school. If anyoen is interested i will be very fair considering its goign into an enthusiasts hands and not some 18 year old kid with a led foot. (haha not talking about m or anything)

Money,

Let's see here.... you want a stiff riding car that will take corners at 60 mph. You don't want a cruiser, you want to stay with Mercedes, you want to sell your car in August.

As Alexnatt suggested, you are in the wrong car line. You have 4-1/2 months before school. I'd suggest you join some local SCCA car club and learn about driving cars. I was very fortunate to be a member of a junior SCCA club when I started driving 42 years ago.... I learned a ton about automobile handling. Do your 60 mph turns on a closed track... One wrong move on the street will take you out and most likely someone else..

You confuse me............

Good Luck and think of others when you drive.

jayare i didn;t mean it literally. I drive sanely on the road. I just like how in my dads audi you feel every bump and when you tak ea turn a little too fast the suspension is so stiff. Liek mercedes is nice but too "soft". I really want like an 01 or 02 c-class. But i really don;t want a chrysler c-320. Did they ever make a v8 coupe

The only V8 MB coupes are 500/560 SEC, 500CL (these are big cars). There isn't such a thing as a Chrysler C-320. It would be the other way around w/ Chrysler products. The Crossfire is a re-skined SLK and it is made in Germany. You might do some ebay searches and see what's out there.
