Does anybody know why a 1997 S420 has 4 cables in this red switch, and why a 1998 S600 has only 2 cables ? Can i combine the 4 cables to make 2 cables, so i can hook it up to a 1999 Seat, so that the SRS light does not come on again ? Please advice...Thanks

i don't have pictures, but it's under the seating cushion from the front passenger seat; it's red and has 4 cables in it. The 1997 S420 has 4 cables, but the 1998 S600 has only 2 cables in the red switch

i believe thats the one; the 1997 S420 has 4 cables in the red switch, but the seat is from a 1999 S600, and the red switch receptacle has only 2 inputs. What can i do so that i don't get the SRS light on anymore ?

well get a picture of both conectors, you will get yourself a digital multimeter to measure the ohm resistance in between plugs and youll find out where to bridge the lines with ( such and such ohm ) resistor.
