Thank you D

Just plugged back the sensor.

I think my mecha forgot to plug it in during installing the front bumper last time.

I wonder where my sensor since then. But no biggie since it still manage to detect correct air temp.

Actually popping up the trunk seems to be an easy task, but you have to do it on your own risk.
First, you have to buy a three buttons key case as this one (around 14 usd)

Second, get the chip out of your key, you will notice two switchs ( buttons) are on the board, and in the place of the third button are only two silver metal connectors.

All you have to do is get a button that is the same size (in my case was a button from an old MP3 played) and then solder it to those silver connectors.
Be extra careful not to burn anything on the chip by overheating.

Last, insert the chip and the battery into the new case with the three buttons.

Now everytime you need to popup the trunk just keep pressing the third button for three seconds and.....magic happends
Sorry about digging this up from the past, but surely for this mod to work, the car has to have some kind of remote boot release mechanism already? Is this something that all W245s have or can have added?

Charence..No one here has a remote lifting B (W245) hatch..as it was never an option. You press the button to unlock and then manually lift the hatch up.

I did suggest that they borrow many parts from the "Ford boys" if they want an auto lifting hatch....and then they'd have to do the "tricky fit" of all of those fun parts....

That is one sweet wheel,..too bad that it probably won't fit,..because I could go for that also.

Must feel beautiful in the hands.. ..but the $$ is way too much for a used wheel.

Yeah. It really feel nice in your hands.

Tried on c class 204 and a-class 176.

Anyway, our car still maintain the 'feel' if compare with both cars in term of driving and comfort.

No one here has ever mentioned changing the dash colour in the B Class,...or if it's even possible.

You have to take out the cluster, dissemble the cluster completely to the circuit board. Then you have to unsolder old SMD diodes ( orange/yellow ones) them solder new white SMD diodes.

Thanks mocab180
What about the middle LCD? Is it possible to change it to white led?

The display is the way it is. You can't modify it. You could try to buy a polarizing screen and overlay it over the top. So the orage-ish color appears to be white.
You can't edit the color of the lcd display by software, or via physical way ( changing bulbs, etc.). There is no aftermarket screen with white color to buy - to replace the stock unit.

If you need to replace the screen it's pretty simple plug and play :)

Ok, reviving an old post:

Can you clarify "easy change it in color"? Are we talking taking it apart and soldering SMD's, or is there something easy one can do?
