From what I read here, it seems like I'll need an installer who really knows Benz to do my W210 E320 wagon audio upgrade. Can anyone recommend a knowledgeable installer in NJ, Philly, or near NYC? If they have an appreciation for less common but very powerful head units, that would be a bonus. Thanks.

What part of Jersey? I'm a half an hour from Philly and AC. Right in the middle.

Thanks for the tips.

DaWoo, are you an installer? I am about two hours north of you via slow roads.

For now, I think I just want to add my MP3 headunit and maybe a second one for radio and CD. Hopefully it can be patched into the Bose amp and stock speakers.

It will take me some time and research to design a good system for the car. I still need to learn HOW to build a good system. So, just head units for now.

[:D]You won't beleive what the Pioneer DVD Multimedia system brings to my Benz Bose Sound system. This pioneer headunits is real powerful.Been owing this vechicle for so long, the original headunit
with such a brand speaker made by bose should be fantastic, but the sound is not as expected. When I decided to installed the Pioneer I also thought of changing the bose sound speaker.Well....I am happy I did not change the speaker. What really happen is the bose speaker is pretty damp good,it just need a good headunit. This Pioneer unit really bang the bose speaker sound to is reputation. If upgrading, find some good headunit with equalizer and good amp and your bose speaker sound would be incredible.

Thanks for confirming the upgrade path I'm planning: new heat unit, stock amp, stock Bose speakers.

How about a headunit with a 20 band parametric EQ, up to 240 gig MP3 storage, hierarchical and dynamic playlists, add-on software, many real-time visualizations, RCA jacks for home stereo use, ethernet for network sharing, all in a single DIN pull-out unit for ultimate security:

I'll have this installed in my E as soon as possible. Pics and further rants will follow.
