I have 07 GL450. After an accident I had to replace a condernsor. I recharged the system with R134a refrigerant. It holds the pressure fine but doesn't blow cold air. It seems that the clutch kicks in and works fine. Any sugesstions? Please help.
Possibly while the system was damaged, some moisture got inside the system and is freezing and blocking the expansion device. I would strongly advise recovering the refrigerant and properly disposing of it (you'll never separate the moisture from it). Then replace the receiver/drier and pull a triple deep vacuum on the system before recharging again with NEW refrigerant. Do you have a way to precisely measure the charge you are putting in? Under or overcharging these systems will give all sorts of headaches. Half an ounce either way DOES matter! Good Luck, Ron
