Hello, Nathan here from the W124 forum, but my father also has a W202 (c230 Kompressor) and i had gotten an iTrip for his ipod as his car doesn't have a cd player and he doesn't like the aftermarket look. The model is an '00 so it has that stub for an antenna and i was wondering if there is a way to boost the reception on the radio as the songs from the iTrip are quite fuzzy. Its not the frequency or the iTrip as friends have used it under same conditions with no problems. Any advice? Thanks

The radio antenna is located on the rear window. The short, stubby antenna is for GPS and cell. The radio amplifier (located behind the rear roof-liner) is usually the cause of weak signal. I'm still trying to convince my dealre to replace the amp under the extended warranty.

Another reason for poor radio reception can be metallic window film.
