Haven't been around for a while....but still picked up an ML320 with an AMG package for the wife. It drives pretty good for a 4x4 but the W126 still has a better ride.

heh...

my stepfather has a
420 SEL and a
560 SL

my mother has a
320 ML and a
220 C compressor

they both love teir cars in diferent ways...
I must say the ML beats a Honda CRV by far. you can defenetly notice that it's a MB, altough a 4 wheel drive one.

Neither the ML or C come close to the real mercedes like the SE/SEL/SEC/SL's I usually drive

the ML is excellent in the snow. my SEC hibernates in the winter.

what year is your ML?

warning: for those with a W126, the quality of the ML may be quite a surprise. sometimes its hard to believe that these two vehicles are from the same company.

A family friend had an ML. It was in the shop more than on the road. A real lemon. I'm guessing that was Chrysler's contribution to the overall corporation?

I always thought of the ML as a truck built in Alabama, not as a Mercedes. Prior to 2000 they are ripe w/ problems. Even the latest iterations are still proving problematic, though not on as severe a level as the earlier versions (transfer cases being my main thought).

Hate to say it but the ML has been a problem for most owners. My sister just got the BMW SUV. What a nice vehicle. I can't imagine why someone would want an ML after test driving the BMW .

Hopefully the new ML range will be a much better model than the current one.

Puhleez... at least the last ML had a TOUCH of class. (and that's about all I can give IT, at that). This new one looks like some one put an underachieving kit on an old ML. Cheesy as hell! And what's with the razor blades on the grill? They going for the Pontiac Grand-Am look now? And that rim is supposed to have some kind of Benz lineage? I think not! I hurriedly skip the homepage to this site because that monstrosity is there. I'd rather they put that upchuck plaid A-Class complete with matching driver back on the front page.[xx(]

We have an ML too, frequent little problems, so far all easily resolved by dealership. Looked at several cars before my 560, one of them being the ml430 (did not compare to my 420 SEL and didn't get it) then we needed another car for errands so we got an ml320. tried the jeep grand cherokee, suburban, explorer, looked at an x5, and found the ML being the only car that feels like a car, but still goes off road VERY capably (sp?). The grand cherokee was a close second, but the options weren't good enough. X5 is a lifted up 5 series, great handling for an SUV, but IT IS NOT a truck, might as well get the 5 series.
