Of course I called me SA who is a great guy and has a great shop...

but of course they hadn't heard about it yet. He's checking to see if he has the parts. Guess he means the software and the relay.

I asked him if he had seen any inter-cooler pump, inter-coolers or the fuse problems with either the C32 or SLK32 and so far none. He wonders if it is associated with mileage or perhaps hot temps. I know Rage lost one and he is north of me, but I don't drive my car like he does and its rarely hot in Portland.

SA just called...parts on order.

Yes to receive mine. I need to take my car in for a couple of other issues so it would be nice if the letter arrived soon.

NE1 know if it changes performance of car?..............

I have a SLK32 2003 and I got the letter on 4/22. Has anyone got this done to a SLK32? Everything is working fine and would like to know if anyone noticed any performance change? Hopefully it don't.

I'm taking mine in for an alignment this week, maybe I'll try and get this done also.

I was going to call tomorrow for an appt this week to get the alignment done
on the SLK32, the steering wheel is slightly off. I wonder if they are aware yet of the recall. I have not received a letter yet, but I am not sure if MB has me registered yet as a SLK32 owner.

My SA said the dealers were notified last week. A couple days before the...

letter went out. Although he personally hadn't read it yet when I contacted him.

They should be able to look it up with the Service Campaign #2006-030011.

I just made an appt for this coming Wed for an alignment, as well as the recall..

the person taking taking the call was aware of the recall, HOWEVER, she said there was no mention of a software upgrade/change. She implied that it was just the relay change, that should not take long. Actually she said that recall number was to 'replace a hose' ? I'll know more after my appt on Wednesday morning.

Read the letter that was part of this post. The Softwware has to be upgraded as well as the new relay. There is a new part number for the new relay. Make sure they don't want to replace it with the older version.

On the hose...there was a early recall for one of the hoses around the radiator.

Actually, I think it was the clips that hold the radiator on. Mine had never been done even though it was an old recall so I had it done shortly after I bought it.
