Can anybody recommend a good tranny shop that will rebuild transmissions for 92-99 S class cars..Id perfer New England...but will ship.Ill remove it and install it.Thanks

We can take care of it for you. Which year as 92-99 makes the switch from .3 to .6 and rebuilding costs vary quite a bit.

Transmission rebuilds.......

Thanks for the reply..I have one out of a 95S500,94 S500and a 93 400 SEL..All have no reverse..could you send me your contact information?I would consider doing all of them..Thanks Ed A

On average how many miles does the original tranmission last in these cars? I'm considering buying one and I know they are heavy cars (about 4,700lbs) but someone told me the S cars are more reliable than the less expensive C class - any thoughts?

Transmission problems

The transmissions loose reverse from 100,000 to 150.000 miles..thats the way I see it..Ive had Four w140s All are the same..Its pretty sad to think its the truth..on a $85.000in the nintys... thanks for the replys!!!!!!!!!
