The owners manual has no information regarding the operation of the rear wiper on my 02 wagon. At first I thought it was simply on or off -- "on" being a set timed intermittent operation.

But I have noticed that if I have the front wipers "on" the rear wiper will make a pass the first time you place the car in reverse - nice.

But I have also been able to get the wipers to stay on continually by holding the switch -- but not always ?? And the light goes off?

Does anyone understand the control for this? I have a long driveway and sometimes backing up is required -- having the wiper running continuous would be helpful

My wagon is 4 years older but probably the same rocker switch opperation.
only two settings, "interval" as they call it and hold for washer and wiper.
No way to have it run constantly as far as I can see.
When in reverse and the front wiper is on, I'm pretty sure the back is on interval regardless how the front wiper is set to but that might be worth double checking.

On my '01, it's the same too.
