I have a 73 SL 450. the front electric windows work fine both back windows don't work at all. Are there separate fuses for the front and back windows. I read in somewhere that the window fuses are not in the fusebox on the passenger side footwell but on the engine side firewall on passenger side.

Any clarification would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is the fuse label on the cover still intact. I don't know about the SLC.

I don't recall separate rear window fuses on my '78 SLC. I did however have to replace both motors. Even with the new motors the windows moved slowly.

The Classic Center can supply you a new fuse label for the cover if yours is gone.

The fuses are definitely in the footwell.

Have you checked the wiring and the switches as well?

Yeah, I had a minute of thinking "Huh. My back windows don't roll down, either. Oh, wait, my back windows are plastic."
