100% operating:thumbsup:Thanks Kal - I will be getting one soon from Snibble and I want to make sure it operates...
Thanks
Will Do! When I did my resto, I did not install the 3rd brake light back in so no worries there and I am completely familiar with pulling everything out and the wiring of my car. If you seen my VLOG and you will see I know all what lurks back there. If you need any of the supplemental parts, pm me!
Will Do! I will post a full blog, because I am sure that even though Snibble says it's perfect, It's the wrong color (Blue and I need Grey) So I will document the color change. Luckily (as you well know) the shade itself is Grey. So I only have to do the top cover and what? The top of the shade itself? The very top part?Post pics when you can!
Cheers!!
Kalifornia is right.Gosh, it's been so long...I think it's a pulley system...actually, the string ("Seele") breaking is probably the most common mode of failure.
Think I should replace it before it goes in?Kalifornia is right.
The system is almost identical to the power antenna; a toothed, semi-rigid, nylon string and a reversible motor.
Quite simple and robust. A new nylon rope is only about $15 at the dealership.
The trick is getting the broken end out before you slide the new rope in.........![]()
Actually, that would make sense as a relatively cheap insurance item. Not bagging on Snibble, but that part must be almost 20 years old and costs ca. $15 (but a lot of hassle after installment) to replace.Think I should replace it before it goes in?
