Hi all -

The rearview mirror in my 1997 E420 is broken, and I was wondering if it's possible to replace it with the updated rear-view mirror found on the post-facelift W210 (the kind without the red/green lights or the big black knob). I know I'd lose the ability to unlock the car by pointing at the mirror, but would everything else still work (i.e. auto-dim, etc.)? Any pointers would be appreciated

email Sunil - he does MB OEM mods. has his own SDS multiplexer.

also, Mark Cummings (on this forum) may know. he's had just about every
available mod performed on his wagon.
