Thanks for the shout out.[8D] Too bad I just came back from holidays. Well, I guess if I can't have the rear side blinds for now, might as well aim for the rear blind project--at your signal--and with your help.[]

Incidentally, would it much to ask for your kind assistance with a question: As I was away for holidays, I found my car battery weak--i read from some posst here that jumpstarting causes some problems (i.e., radio locks down and code needed, check engine light on, or so). Is there any way to avoid those problems when I jumpstart the car and is there a "proper" way to jumpstart the car? Thanks in advance Gill.[]

Jumpstarting is detailed in the owners handbook. Follow the instructions there.

there should only be a problem if the battery is disconected or is totaly dead. I have jump started my sons gti with my mercedes with no problem. Just make sure red to red, black to black.
