I have an estate version (station wagon?) but can no longer fold the rear seats down. I can't see what's stopping them from getting more than about 10 degrees forward of the locking position (both parts of the split) and I've pulled out as much as I can but still can't budge them. Does anyone know how to get at whtaever holds them in place?


Thanks in advance for any help and advice anyone can offer.

Are you sure a UFO (unfound falling object) has not worked its way down into the cavity below the seats and is blocking further movement?

wiggle it back and forth (in the unlocked position) you should hear a click from where it is being hindered.

Thanks for the suggestions. I too thought of some sort of foreign object jamming the mechanism, but I can't see or feel anything. It's also proving impossible to budge the seat at all - I can't even get back to the locked position. I've removed everything I can and the only fixing I can find is a bolt that appears to join the 2 parts of the split (under the seat cushions). I've removed this but still can't move the back sections of the seats at all. Any further suggstions would be welcome.
