Just wondering how common the rear PTO winches are for my 401,already have a front one but with it being a short wb wonder if rear would offset that problem?

The rear pto winch helps balance out my 56 401 Frogeye. I don't know how common the are, but I have never seen one for sale by itself. mine is for sale with the truck if interested. ($4k)

I have the rear winch on my 401 and I'm constantly amazed at the pull that thing has.

Note that the two big pieces of cedar on the back of the 'mog are used as blocks behind the rear wheels. We've also since added a home built fairlead that is... well let's say it's functional for a first attempt.

I should add too that we use our winch quite a bit - we do a lot of logging on our acreage - and it leaks when it's running. We always keep a jug of AT fluid handy for top ups.
