You need to put a Mercedes scanner on it to narrow down the problem. Since you went over a speed bump quickly, it could be a blown airmatic strut, snapped air line, damaged level sensor, or defective valve block. If you do not have a scanner, it means crawling underneath to see what the potential problem(s) may be. Otherwise, no one will be able to help out.

Thanks for reply finally stopped raining had a look ,the sensor arm has become detached from the bracket on anti roll bar knuckle rusted to ball but looks quite flimsy , bodged it by using plumbers mate epoxy to hold it together and it pumped up again ,pulled 40 amp fuse to see if holds up overnight .Has anyone seen a better repair for this flimsy looking bracket or is it a case of just the rusted up knuckle cheers matt.

I recently went through a similar issue (rear sinking) but didn't hit any hard bumps. Rear height sensor linkage was all rusted so replaced with new ones (cheap parts) and all is well again.
