Trying to switch out my rear speakers, the driver side is fine, the wire is there. when removing the passenger side there was resistance and no slack and i pulled too hard and the speaker came out ok but i cant see where the wire is to plug the new one into. its not in the speaker's "metal bowl", must be somewhere under the rear carpeted deck but do not see how to remove it or get at it. any clues? have been trying for hours.....

Hey similar thing happened to me. I had to train a mouse and then send it down...
If that doesn't work go into the trunk/boot and there is a divider screen for the fuel tank. If you remove that (four bolts) you should gain access to the wire:)
Good luck

Wow you're a mouse trainer?

Could you do a DIY on mouse training for us? That could come in handy.
